Cascade helped pioneer the modern pale ale, walking so that popular IPA hops like Citra could run. Bred from Fuggles and Serebrianker, Cascade was developed in the USA for a breeding program in Oregon and released in 1972. Thanks to its high levels of myrcene, they have an intense citrussy flavor that goes down easy. Making up 10% of all hops grown in the United States, Cascade is still the definitive choice for American Pale Ales and Blonde Ales.
