Centennial has a rich parentage, bred from Brewer’s Gold, Fuggle, East Kent Golding and Bavarian hops. It was developed in 1974 and released in 1990 and now stands as a celebrated dual-purpose hop with a pleasant bitterness and a fruity, floral and woody aroma. Well-suited for a wide range of beers, Centennial hops are often used in pale ales and IPAs, as well as American stout, American wheat, and barley wine.
