Hop Harvest Tour

Hallertau

Our Hallertau Hop Harvest Tours provide an extensive look at our harvest process. Our expert hop growers will host you in their fields and answer your questions. Development of new hops has never been more vital, so we include a visit to the Society for Hop Research. We also arranged for a special cultural experience... You will return home with new knowledge and ideas to implement in your own breweries, along with connections developed with your fellow tour guests.

We will email a credit card payment link to attending guests to confirm their spot. Please note that we will allot three FUNDED spaces on our tours at random to confirmed guests.

What our participants say

The amazing team at BarthHaas hosted us perfectly, all we had to do was soak up the information given by various experts in their field. Plus we sampled some of the best, true-to-style beers Germany has to offer. The company of other brewers added even more to the experience. – Rob Neale

Tradition & Expertise

Get To Know The Hallertau

We are excited for you to join us in the beautiful Hallertau region to get up close and personal with our favourite ingredient – hops!

You’ll get to visit a hop farm, walk the fields and learn how the hops are grown and harvested. One of our partner hop farmers will be on hand to answer all of your hop growing questions and our experienced BarthHaas X staff will join you too.

Future Proof Flavor

New Hop Varieties

An essential part of the tour is our visit to the Society for Hop Research. Here you will get the chance to see how new varieties are being developed to withstand our changing climate, safeguard supplies and protect the industry. New varieties will be available for you to explore to see how they can augment your current brewing portfolio.

Rub & Sniff

The connections and education from these tours is inspiring and rejuvenating. However, our previous costs for this tour were over £1000 per person - because we take care of our people. In order to demonstrate your commitment and participation, and to defray some of the tour costs, we have implemented a tiering schedule. As part of the attendance confirmation, breweries above 15 hectolitres will be asked to pay a £200 administration fee. Below 15 hec will be only £100. Additionally, we will allot three FUNDED spaces on our tours at random to confirmed guests!

Please note that we will only process this fee once we and you have confirmed your attendance- and it is always free to register your interest. We assure you, you will reap so much value on this tour in networking, education and experience!

Deadline to register your interest for the 2023 Hop Harvest Tours was 12th May 2023 but the form is always open.

*For payments in currencies other than Pounds Sterling, conversion will be made at time of transfer. Any additional fees incurred due to the conversion and transfer will be at the responsibility of the guest.
